McConnel's innovative Barrier Mower has been specially designed to tackle the toughest challenges of carriageway grass maintenance- boosting safety, productivity and performance.
Its advanced feature set includes a high-clearance dipper-arm, flexible mounting, and twin rotary cutting heads that enable operators to cut around obstacles such as guard rails, road signs and kerbstones.

Each rotary head features a heavy-duty pivot system, which automatically parts the heads without risk of damage to the machine leaving behind a close cut and finish, right up to the barrier rail.

By speeding up mowing operations that normally have to be carried out by hand; McConnel's Barrier Mower is an important labour-saving device which saves contractors time and money, reduces disruption to motorists by removing the need for coning off sections of road, and enhances safety by removing operators from danger zones.

Features

Twin rotary heads
Barrier mower's twin rotary heads are each fitted with high-performance dual blades spinning at 3,000 rpm. The solid steel blades are mounted on a central disc which closely aligns the cutting action to the contours of the ground.
Unique cutting action
Each rotary head features a heavy-duty pivot system, which automatically parts the heads without risk of damage to the machine leaving behind a close cut and finish, right up to the barrier rail.
Flexible arm
The easy-position flex arm moves through 180 degrees at the touch of a button allowing an operator to raise the outer blade over obstacles, while the inner blade continues to cut.
Flexible mounting
Barrier Mower offers exceptional flexibility with front and rear mounting and left and right hand cutting positions as standard. The machine is also suitable for Unimogs.
Safe transport position
Folding to a safe transport width of just 2.5 metres, the machine also comes equipped with special protective covers to secure the blades.
